The United Arab Emirates is a Middle Eastern country located in the western portion of the continent of Asia. Arabic is the official language of the UAE although English is widely spoken and understood. The UAE is home to a large expatriate community, a number of other languages are widely spoken such as Persian, Hindi, Urdu and Chinese.
